A temporary architecture 04/02/2002 (vlnr) concept-txt Thursday, July 18, 2002 Tecnomads (vlnr) A personal answer to the need to live where you want to live Self-building, constructing, buying, manufacturing, finding, designing, moving, colouring, hanging, extending, floating, driving, being... City-planners design the basic structures, re-modelling the existing dwellings and creating new structures in the human-scape. The human-scape is the only definition which covers it all, culture and nature (man made), we are all people so the human-scape is an equal definition... These basic-structures are ready to be used according to all architectural standards and even have some additional ones, yet unknown.. The present types of dwellings stay in use until they will be demolished and re-used as buildingmaterial, unless they become timeless.... monuments. In order to use the full potential of the existing, we need a new architecture, a temporary architecture which can fill the space for the time being.. Shaping this temporary architecture is my goal, here and now. Using the easy way, this path is already defined by contemporary architects and predecessors. Not only is there an enormous pile of images and styles, even the buildingmaterial is present in the shape of ready-mades and waste. Temporary even illegal, you live where you want to people produce mostly waste, spatial, economic and social. Ergonomics are always recognisable in a way that there always pops up a function. Architecture is slow, corrupt, political, customer unfriendly and to expensive etc. etc. Interior is always personal and intimate. I find temporary architecture in small-scaled self-realised projects which run between the interior and exterior. notes waste and readymades are at the base of the first series of temporary-spatial products (tsp) the ultimate goal is to design a spatial-product that doesn't show wear or tear or even grows by itself (concrete bacteria) or which can be used immediately as something different after its first use, thus creating temporary functions. advantages temp-0-rary-UNIT |
